When this successful financial investment firm decided to relocate its headquarters to Austin, Texas, Gensler was enlisted to transform a proposed 210,000-square-foot speculative suburban office building into a world-class headquarters. Patterning the firm’s business approach, the new workplace was designed to promote three primary concepts: collaboration, education and community. Drawing inspiration from the firm’s dimensional approach to investing, Gensler created a three-dimensional architectural expression through the incorporation of an open floor plan, floating ceilings, an interconnecting staircase and internally connected communal zones. Expansive open areas and glass connect the inside and outside spaces, while ground level spaces link to outdoor amenities such as a dining deck, an amphitheater and landscaped garage rooftop.
