Grand Hotel Miramare, a pittoresque Art Nouveau beachfront building with one of the most outstanding façades on the Italian Riviera is the playground for the sophisticated, beauty loving and fastidious traveller. Being at this icon, I am thrown back in the 50ies and 60ies when the jet set lingered on the pebbled beach for their long, balmy summer getaways. Cary Grant and Sophia Loren in the rear on the yachts in the harbour of Portofino, playground for Britt Ekland stretching at the Barracuda Beach Bar of Grand Hotel Miramare.. Bellini, Crostini and Dolce Vita under blue-white striped umbrellas. Defintetely the perfect luxury italian summer hideway and a wonderful hotel witha lovely team who welcomed me as one of the family during my photoshoot.
