Behind every exceptional hotel, there’s often a family. And at Toile Blanche, that’s precisely where the magic begins.
Meeting the Leroy brothers, their parents, spouses, children and grandchildren—and somehow managing to gather almost everyone in front of my camera—was the perfect introduction to photographing this extraordinary place. From the very first moment, I felt genuinely welcomed, as though I had been invited into someone’s home… a home that just happens to be one of the most beautiful boutique hotels on the French Riviera.
Toile Blanche is one of those rare places that still feels like a well-kept secret. An art-filled sanctuary where every suite has its own distinct character, the interiors strike that elusive balance of effortless elegance, the minibar is thoughtfully stocked with irresistible treats, and dinner becomes an experience you’ll find yourself reminiscing about weeks later. Dangerously delicious.
And then there are the pools. So many pools. Hidden beneath towering pines, nestled among lavender, shaded by palm trees or framed by blooming oleanders, each one convinced me it was my favourite… until I discovered the next. Although, if I’m being completely honest, the private pool at my villa may have quietly claimed the top spot. (I’m simply saying what everyone else was thinking. ..:)
Thank you to the Leroy family and everyone at Toile Blanche for opening not only your hotel, but also your world and your hearts. It was a privilege to capture the spirit of a place where hospitality feels so deeply personal.
